Ligad Engineering successfully undertook a manpower supply and fabrication support project for TURCOMP Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. under Job #CJ565, specifically for the Tanjung Bin Power Plant project. The project was focused on providing skilled manpower and related support services for the fabrication of 7 pieces of A36 cans based on DWG details for the chimney project. The total project value was RM740,000.00 after discount.
The project duration was 37 days, running from 1st December 2025 until 6th January 2026, involving fit-up, welding, dimensional checking, and final visual inspection activities at the Tanjung Bin Power Plant site. These works were carried out to ensure fabrication accuracy, welding integrity, and compliance with technical and project specifications.
As part of the manpower supply scope, the project deployed a total of 30 qualified welders, 8 experienced fitters, and 18 semi-skilled workers including fire watchers to support site execution and fabrication activities. This workforce played a key role in ensuring the project progressed efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
In addition to manpower services, the project also covered accommodation arrangements, including 4 homestay units, as well as transportation support, which included van services for site logistics. Welder Qualification Tests (WQT) for a total of 30 welders were also included, along with NDT testing requirements (RT) to verify welding quality and structural integrity.
